Conference: Sustainable Finance and Green Fintech

Prof. Nathalie Martial-Braz emphasized that finance needed to align with sustainability goals to effectively combat climate change. She highlighted the importance of a new financial model that integrates sustainability and supports the energy transition. Regulators played a key role in ensuring the credibility of this transition, but new technologies, particularly Green Fintech, were also crucial. Green Fintech involved technological innovations applied to financial processes that supported sustainability, including digital payment solutions, investment platforms, crowdfunding, and risk analysis. These tools, driven by data analysis, could help facilitate the transition to a carbon-neutral economy. However, the use of these technologies required careful consideration and regulation to maximize their impact.
